Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM N900 Simple Tutorial How To Root N900UBUDNB2 Android 4 4 2 KitKat Firmware

Root Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900 Running N900UBUDNB2 4.4.2 KitKat through Odin:
  1. Download CF-Auto-Root for Galaxy Note 3 N900 and extract the Zip file: CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtN900.zip
  2. Download Odin 3.09 and extract the Zip file: Odin3_V3.09.Zip
  3. Now, Switch off your phone and boot Galaxy Note 3 N900 into Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down+Home+Power buttons together (long press until the boot Lcd appear), now press Volume Up key to proceed to Download Mode.
  4. Run the Odin3 v3.09.exe file as an administrator (Right click on the .exe file and click on Run as administrator)
  5. Now connect your Galaxy Note 3 N900 to your computer via USB cable
  6. In Odin3 Lcd, you should see a COM Port number like “0:[COM7]” at ID:COM section and “Added!” text at the message box. This means your device has been detected by Odin3.
  7. Make sure that, only the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are checked.
  8. Now, click on the AP button and select the CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtN900.tar.md5 file.
  9. Finally, click on the Start button to begin the rooting process, wait few moments.
  10. Once completed, you would see “PASS!” message in ID:COM port having green background
  11. Your phone should automatically reboot after completion
  12. You can now disconnect your phone from computer
  13. Finish

Flash the Official SlimKat 4 4 2 Nightly Builds for Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 Guide

All Galaxy S4 I9505 devices’ users who want to install the latest Official SlimKat custom ROM are now happy to know that the new SlimKat KitKat AOSP 4.4.2 ROM is available for download and install.
The SlimKat custom ROM is a stable one, and it is based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware. If you want to learn more about this ROM you can take a look at SlimROM official web page here.
Prerequistes:
  • During this step by step guide,  we will show you how easily to install the Official SlimKat 4.4.2 Nightly Builds on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 device. Note that this guide is for advanced Android users only.
  • This guide is compatible only with Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE model number I9505 device with the Snapdragon 600 the International variant. So by knowing that this step by step guide will not be compatible with the US Galaxy S4 LTE versions of Samsung Galaxy S4 device nor with the I9505 (Exynos) model of the S4 smartphone.
  • The Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 device has to be a rooted one and to have the latest CWM Recovery Image version installed on it. We don’t test this guide with the TWRP Recovery image.
  • Backup all your data stored into S4 device and create a full NANDROID Backup for the existent installed ROM, this backup will represent a restore point in case you don’t like the new custom ROM or something work wrong.
  • The step by step guide will contain a Factory Reset step that will help the user to apply a clean installation for the new custom ROM.
  • Important: The Factory Reset action will wipe all data from the system partition, but the internal/external storage cards will not be affected by this Factory Reset step.
  • Backup all your application installed on the S4 device, SMS text messages by using the Helium application, a step by step guide about how to do this is available here.
  • Save your contacts from your device, to do this you need to sync contacts info with your Gmail account. Guide here.
  • Ensure that the device’s battery charge level is more that 60 %, this will prevent your device to take a forced power off in the middle of the flashing process.
  • This guide is provided only for educational and instructional provide, so do not blame us in case something wrong is happen by applying this guide on your device, we cannot be held liable or responsible for any data lost or damage of your device during or after the flashing process.
  • Do not skip any steps from this guide.
  • From Developer Option menu, enable the USB Debugging mode. Developer Option, in some cases might be hidden, so you should open the Settings menu, then More and go to About Phone and press Build Number seven times.

How to install SlimKat the Official Nightly custom ROM for Galaxy S4 LTE:

  1. Firstly, download the SlimKat custom ROM zip from here, download the latest build available.
  2. Secondly, download Gapps for SlimKat ROM from here.
  3. Now, connect the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE I9505 device to your computer.
  4. Move (Copy/Paste) the both downloaded zip files to the device’s internal storage. Ensure that you don’t unzip the contents.
  5. Once the both files are copied successfully, disconnect the smartphone from the computer.
  6. Turn off the smartphone now.
  7. Boot the device in CWM or TWRP Recovery Mode. Guide here.
  8. Create the Nandroid ROM backup for your existent ROM. To do this you should select ‘backup and restore’, then give a name to the file and confirm the process.
  9. Apply the Factory Reset, by selecting ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ and confirm. Then you need to use the ‘format /system’ option too.
  10. Next, select ‘install zip from sdcard’, then ‘choose zip from sdcard’ find the ROM file and confirm the installation to install the SlimKat 4.4.2 Weekly custom ROM.
  11. Once the new custom ROM is flashed you need to repeat step 10 actions to flash the Gapps zip file.
  12. After the both files are successfully installed, then you can return to the main Recovery menu.
  13. From the main Recovery menu reboot the smartphone now into normal mode.
  14. The first boot process will takes around five minutes to be done. So, do not press any buttons until the first home screen to appear.
  15. Now, put your Google account info when you’re asked and take control over the phone.
Congratulation, the flashing process is done, now you’ve successfully learned how to install the latest official SlimKat custom ROM on the Galaxy S4 LTE International device.
If the first boot process takes more than 10 minutes, and the main home screen doesn’t appear or the smartphones enters into a boot loop, then you need to repeat the above step by step guide once again.

UnRoot Manual Update Galaxy S3 I9305 with Official Jellybean 4 1 2 XXBME3 Firmware

 Samsung Galaxy S3 I9305 smartphone can now be un rooted. Once the device is unrooted, the warranty can be reclaimed. Let’s check out on how you can un root the device by applying the official firmware which is released by Samsung. Before we proceed on to check on what are the instructions to apply this firmware update, you need to follow the list of quick pre requisites which we have summed up below. To unroot the device, the simplest process to do is to apply the official firmware update which was rolled out by Samsung Electronics. This firmware which we will be talking about is the official firmware and is dubbed as XXBME3 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware.



Quick Pre Requisites:
  • Create a backup of all your data with the help of below mentioned steps. Though, you can back up the data with KIES as well, we recommend you to backup manually with the help of below mentioned steps as sometimes KIES refuses to detect the device.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
  • From the path “Settings > Development Options > USB debugging” enable the USB Debugging Mode. Minimum charge left in your phone is 30% or else there is a risk of device getting turned off in the middle of rooting process.

Procedure to Update Galaxy S3 I9305 LTE Smartphone with Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:
  • Open Odin in your computer. Download Mode in Galaxy S3 I9305 can be entered by first turning Off the device and then hold Volume Down Rocker Key + Menu Button and then Power ON the device. Once the device is booted and you see the Download Mode Green Robot, you can release the button combos.
  • Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow / Green, indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully.
  • Click on “PDA” to select the tar file which you got from the firmware package which is the TAR File which you got after extracting the file from the first step.
  • Once all the file is selected, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Once the firmware update process is completed which will be mentioned in the ODIN, the Galaxy S2 device will be rebooted.
  • For firmware update to be finished, it will take around 2-3 minutes for applying the update. Once the device is updated successfully, the device will be rebooted. As soon as you see the Language preferences or the Home Screen, you need to disconnect the device from computer and enjoy using your phone.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome Lcd, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.

How to Install Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 with Android 4 2 2 DDUANC1 Jelly Bean Official Firmware Using Odin Guide


Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 (GT-S7582) has already received a new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update with firmware build number S7582DDUANC1. The new official firmware is now available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 users who missed the OTA update notification or unable to access the update over Samsung KIES, can now download and install the same manually using our step-by-step guide.
Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent.
5. The Android 4.2.2 DDUANC1 Jelly Bean firmware is compatible only with the Galaxy S Duos 2 (GT-S7582). Applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy S Duos 2 by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.

Steps to Update Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 with Android 4.2.2 DDUANC1 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Firmware zip file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy S Duos 2.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on Lcd. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy S Duos 2 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.
Step 7: Select the following files in Odin from extracted S7582DDUANC1 firmware folder:
  • Click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file.
  • Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.
Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the Start button to begin the installation process.
Step 10: Once the installation process completes, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 should be now updated with Android 4.2.2 DDUANC1 Jelly Bean official firmware. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.
Note: If Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 stuck at booting animation after Step 10 then go to recovery mode (press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together) and perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option. Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.

Reboot the whole process will take about 3-4 minutes . After the boot device and the home screen is displayed , you can disconnect the device from the computer .
  • You can check if the device is rebooted or not , by downloading the app " Root Checker " from the Google Store .

Note: If your device into a boot loop sequence or can be said to be stuck on the screen "welcome", Have you re-insert the battery and follow the instructions on the back so it can no longer follow the instructions mentioned above.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 S7270 users who missed the OTA update notification or unable to access the update over Samsung KIES, may follow our step-by-step guide to install the update manually.
Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. The Galaxy Ace 3 should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.
5. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent.
6. The Android 4.2.2 XXUANA2 Jelly Bean firmware is compatible only with the Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7270). Applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy Ace 3 by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.

Steps to Update Galaxy Ace 3 S7270 with Android 4.2.2 XXUANA2 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Firmware zip file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Ace 3.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Ace 3 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.
Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.
Step 7: Select the following files in Odin from extracted S7270XXUANA2 firmware folder:
  • Click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file.
  • Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.
Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the Start button to begin the installation process.
Step 10: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a  
 
PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect it from the computer.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 S7270 should be now updated with Android 4.2.2 XXUANA2 Jelly Bean official firmware. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.
 
Note: If Galaxy Ace 3 S7270 stuck at booting animation after Step 10 then go to recovery mode (press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together) and perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option. Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.

How To Install Samsung SGH I577 AT T Android 4 4 2 KitKat PAC man ROM Guide

AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577 can be updated to latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The upgrade is possible with the help of custom ROM PAC-man. The development team of PAC-man ROM finally introduced Android 4.4.2 KitKat based PAC-man ROM for AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577. Which means, you can download and install custom firmware PAC-man to update your AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577 to latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577 comes with good hardware spec, hence is capable to run PAC-man smoothly. PAC-man ROM consist various features of Paranoid Android, AOKP and CyanogenMod. Another thing you should note, this is nightly build, hence expect some bugs in it. All bugs and issues expected to be fixed as development progress towards a stable PAC-man build.

This tutorial is only for AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577. Don’t try this guide on any other Android device. Also, we (Android Pulp Team) are not responsible for any damage caused due to the instruction given in this page. Try this at your own risk. However, it is very unlikely that your device will be damaged if you follow all the instructions as it is which are mentioned in procedure.  
Pre Requisites:

1. ROM flashing require you to wipe your internal memory data, hence you required to backup your device data. You can follow our ultimate backup guide.

2.  Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. If your phone shut down during installation then there is good chance to brick your device.You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily.

3. You must have USB Driver Installed for AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577 in your PC. [Download USB Drivers]

4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise its wont be possible to transfer file between PC and AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577. [Guide].

5. Your device have latest CWM version 6.0.4.4 and up or TWRP 2.6.3.1 and up installed. [General Guide]

How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based PAC-man ROM on AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577
  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
  1. Disconnect USB and then turn off your AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577.
  1. Now, Boot into recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume Up, Volume Down and Power button together until Samsung logo flash twice and then leave the buttons. You should see recovery menu soon. In recovery use Volume Keys to navigate between option and Power or Home Key to select an option. Alternatively try this: Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
  1. Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back into your previous ROM. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
  1. Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next screen to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping.
  1. Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Now, locate the PAC-man Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _____.zip on the next screen. The ROM installation will begin.
  1. Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
  1. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM PAC-man
  1. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Tutorial For TWRP Recovery Users:
  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
  1. Disconnect USB and then turn off your AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577.
  1. Now, Boot into recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume Up, Volume Down and Power button together until Samsung logo flash twice and then leave the buttons. You should see recovery menu soon. Alternatively try this: Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
  1. Create a Backup using TWRP Backup Option.
  1. Perform a Factory Reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). To do this, Tap on Wipe, then at the bottom of the screen do a Swipe on the ‘Swipe to factory reset‘ option.
  1. Now its time to add zip file for flashing. Tap on Install, then browse to the location where you saved the files and tap on the PAC-man Zip file. Then tap on Add More Zips, and add pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip. Now at the bottom of the screen, do a swipe on the Swipe to confirm flash option to begin flashing.
  1. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and tap on Reboot and then, tap on System to reboot your AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM PAC-man.
  1. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select Backup then through Restore option, restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Congrats! Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware based custom ROM PAC-man is now running on your AT&T Samsung Exhilarate SGH-I577. Now explore the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. [Note: If you find difficulties to run root only apps then it may be disabled. Do this then, enable developer settings first (tap the build number 8 times under about device), then enable root under Developer Settings].
