Performing factory data reset ( master reset or hard reset ) Samsung Omnia M GT-S7530 via Settings menu:

Perform factory reset


  1. Go to Menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select System
  4. Select About
  5. Select Reset your phone
  6. Select Yes
  7. To confirm select Yes

Warning! All data will be erased from device memory, including system and application data, settings and downloaded applications. Back up your important data.  The device will restore to factory settings.

If your phone hangs or does not responding, Press and hold power key about 10 seconds.  It will rebooting automatically.  Or remove and re insert the battery and SIM Card.

Tips: If your device has a touch screen and the touch screen is not responding properly, try the following:

  1. Remove any protective covers from the touch screen.  Protective covers may prevent the device from recognising your inputs and are not recommended for touch screen devices.
  2. Ensure that your hands are clean and dry when tapping the touch screen.
  3. Restart your device to clear any temporary software bugs.
  4. Ensure that your device software is upgraded to the latest version.
  5. If the touch screen is scratched or damaged, take it to your local Samsung Service Centre.
